Your website says you open at 9. Your Google listing says 10. A directory says you closed last year. Each one looks like a small slip. Together they make you look unreliable.

Why it matters

Customers who see two answers do not know which to believe, and many will not call to find out. Search tools and AI assistants collect facts from several places. When the facts disagree, they may show the wrong one, or skip you.

A one-hour fix

  1. Decide the true version

Write down your exact name, address, phone number, hours and main services.

  2. List every place it appears

Your site, Google Business Profile, social pages, directories, and any old press.

  3. Update or remove each one

Use the same wording everywhere. Remove listings for places you no longer operate.

  4. Put a reminder in the calendar

Check again whenever hours change, and every few months otherwise.
